Most people today, unfortunately, have high cholesterol or high lipid levels. However, you can easily reduce the increased level of cholesterol in the blood if you carefully choose the foods you eat.
As the British Daily Mail notes just in Austria nearly a third of the adults have high cholesterol levels.
Because of that scientists from Newcastle University were engaged to find out what leads to this condition. They explain and which foods you should eat and which you should avoid.
EAT LEGUMES
This means that are all allowed: beans, chickpeas, lentils, peas. Legumes can reduce blood cholesterol.
EAT WALNUTS AND OTHER NUTS
Don’t forget to eat walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts. They contain protein, minerals, and unsaturated fatty acids which help reduce blood cholesterol.
USE OLIVE OIL
It is especially good to eat fresh, cold-pressed oil in salads and other dishes, so if discard fried food of your diet you can reduce blood cholesterol.
INSTEAD OF BREAD EAT QUINOA AND RICE
Quinoa and rice have carbohydrates like all other grains, also minerals and vitamins, but they do not create bad fats that remain in the blood as is the case with the white rice, but also with many other types of bread.
DO NOT EAT FAST FOOD
Fast food is baked in deep oil, rich in free radicals that the body can’t use otherwise but to turn them into fat and cholesterol which will remain in the blood.
